What happens after signup?

Cómo funcionan las puntuaciones FICO

 • Cuando se solicita un crédito – ya sea para una tarjeta de crédito, un préstamo para comprar un automóvil o una hipoteca – las instituciones de préstamo quieren saber si correrán algún riesgo al prestar el dinero.

• Las puntuaciones FICO® son las puntuaciones de crédito que utiliza la mayoría de las instituciones de prstamo para determinar el riesgo de crédito. Hay tres puntuaciones FICO, una para cada una de las tres centrales de riesgo (tambin conocidas como agencias de informes de crdito): Experian, TransUnion y Equifax. Cada puntuacin se basa en la informacin que la central de riesgo tiene sobre una persona. Cuando esta informacin cambia, las puntuaciones de crdito tambin cambian.

Cuanto más altas sean sus puntuaciones FICO® , menor será lo que tendrá que pagar por el crédito: independientemente de si solicita el préstamo para comprar una casa, un teléfono celular, un auto o para obtener una tarjeta de crédito. Por ejemplo, para una hipoteca de $216,000 a 30 años con una tasa de interés fija:

Tasas de interés nacionales reales: actualizadas todos los días

Como se puede ver en el ejemplo anterior usando las tasas de interés nacionales vigentes, una persona que tenga una puntuación FICO® de 760 o superior pagará $ menos al mes por una hipoteca de $216,000 a 30 años con una tasa de interés fija que una persona que tenga una puntuación FICO® inferior a 640: esto representa un ahorro de casi $ al año. Así pues, conviene mejorar las puntuaciones FICO.
